The UK Government sparked off a revolt with announcing a possible increase of MPs’ salaries of £7,600. Especially the Unions objected and threatened a tidal wave of strikes unless ordinary workers are not getting a similar deal.

Many people pointing the finger at the Unions as troublemakers especially the Tories. However, the fact is if it weren’t for the Unions people would still be working in Victorian era conditions.  As it shows and proves again with this Tory Government the general public is forced to face austerity while the Elite gets away with all their wheeling and dealing and there is no other power or party who stops them. It is only the Unions who put the pressure on the Tories. During Thatcher’s time great force was used to break the Unions and some extent she succeeded, unfornutely. She paid the police heavily to counteract the demonstration against closures of mines, steel works and shipyards. Due to this rather unethical method the Unions lost some power.

It appears that the MPs increment would cost the country £4.6million which is unacceptable when the rest of the country live in poverty. Family have to go to foodbanks for free food to feed their family and the Pawnbrokers are rapidly on the increase again.  The charity of ‘Save the Children Fund’ announced that they have to appeal to the public for donation for the first time since their existented.  Their report spoke of incredible existence in the Midland and North of England. It seems David Cameron turning the country back to Dickens’ time and that in the 21st century.

The Independent Parliamentary Standard Authority claims that there will be cuts to the MPs’ pensions, “golden goodbuys” and some allowances which would reduce the annual bill by £500,000. Now this would really bring the deficit down after having spent £4.6million in the first place.

The proposal created a storm in Parliament and the three leaders had a job to survive it.

The Proposal:

–          MPs’ pay rise would be from £66,396 to £74,000 in 2015 or £7,604.

–          MPs’ pension will be a career average with lower contribution from the politician and taxpayer which results in reduced payments in retirement. Well time will tell and evidence speaks louder than words.

–          Resettlement grants of up to £33,000 will be replaced in 2020 by double statutory redundancy pay for MPs who fail to retain their seat. The maximum pay-out will be around £24,000. Surely this an unknown fact to most of the general public and no person whose lost his/hers job would be given any money for the expenses especially not that amount.

–          The evening meal allowance will be axed and claims for taxi home before 11pm or a hotel stay before 1am. Allowances for a person earning £66,396.

The general workforce would appreciate if they would get a pay rise of 11 per cent and 11 per cent on their salaries or wages would never reach that amount as of the MPs 11 per cent on £66,396. However, in view of the present one per cent in the public sector and two per cent in the private sector which is just a drop in the ocean. Most of them are even in a pay freeze.  This comparison is the reality of today’s Tories ‘politics and them and us. This division had been going on for three years since they are in power.

Labour Leader Ed Milliband announced that he will not accept it but Mr Cameron has not so far objected and Mr Clegg agreed with it. The next move will be a vote on the proposal and would it be very surprising if it were outvoted?

It is not these salaries plus the increase they receiving most of the MPs have a number of second jobs which brings in further big salaries. Mr Milliband spoke of it the other day and promised that if the Labour party will be get into power they will stop it.  He pointed out that nobody can do a number of other jobs without neglecting their own constituency.  He stated that some MPs earn up to £5million a year plus get a lot of perks. Therefore, at a time of economical hardship it is unforgivable if this proposal would go ahead but it would be very surprising if they turn their own salary’ increase down.

This news gives us, the public, some glimpse what really goes on behind the scene. Apparently 500 top business men joint into one “Business for Britain” to force the government securing a better deal for Britain in Europe.  They signed up for a campaign to achieve it.

The new group includes top management people from a wide range of companies starting from major blue chip firms to smaller companies. They support David Cameron trying to re-establish Britain EU membership in Brussels.  It is a cross party operation “national drive to renegotiate the terms of British members of the European Union.”

Prime Minister David Cameron has already given a pledge to return power from Brussels to Britain. He also promised an IN/OUT referendum on the EU by the end of 2017 if the Conservatives win the next general election in 2015.

With all due respect but looking closer at each promise it does not give the public a great re-assurance. In the first instant, to wrestle back power from Brussels most people find it very doubtful since Brussels does not give up power very easily.  The promise regarding an IN/OUT referendum  looks like a method  to win the election. This promise was given already in the last election manifesto but the moment the Conservatives won by a minority and had built a coalition the promise was forgotten.  During the last three years the public kept demanding and a promise was given  again but when its deadline arrived, it was overlooked.

Therefore, it is doubtful the majority of people will fall for it again.  Mr Cameron has to look back on his track record and  learn from it that he can’t keep giving  pledges and promises and not keep them.

A spokesman for Business for Britain said: “As business and entrepreneurs are responsible for millions of British jobs, we believe that the government is right to seek a new deal from the EU and for the UK’s role in Europe. Far from being a threat to our economic interests, a flexible, compromising EU – with more powers devolved from Brussels – is essential for growth, jobs and access t markets.”

This statement on the surface makes great deal of sense but will Brussels let go of their power? Wouldn’t it make more sense to get out of the EU and spend the billions into the British economy? It would cut all the restrictions imposed by Brussels on British businesses and since  Britain was always a free trading state with a great name and respect on the world market for British goods it would regain it again

What is the reason for Britain clinging onto Brussels which waste billions of pounds each year, still asking for more and gives nothing but unreasonable rules and restrictions? Even the auditors refuse to sign their budget because there are over 84 billion Euros unaccountable and it is getting worse every year. Surely that is a big enough reason to decide to cut lose.

For a start the public demanded for years to stop the sky high bonuses. The top bankers are all earning around £1million a year which is more than adequate.  Many time David Cameron was pressure to step in and stop these bonuses especially now where the economy is in a terrible situation.  Mr Cameron kept promises but as most of his promises were never kept. He pointed out that it would take time to bring in a law through Parliament.

This whole situation was only brought about since Margaret Thatcher de-regulated the banks and ever since their salaries rose astronomically. Then also the bonus started.  As before the banks of Britain had a great respect and their names were respected all over world.  Companies were investing in British banks because of it.

When the public realised their demand will not be med by David Cameron and his government they formed a group called OCCUPY. This group started to camp in the city but then was moved on and put their tents up in front of St Paul’s’ cathedral. They endure harsh weather day and night to make their point.  Since the place in front did not belong to the city of London the government could not do much about it. They approach the Dean of St Pauls but he agreed with OCCUPY and there was quite noise about till the Dean of St Pauls resigned.  David Cameron soon found a way and in no time the court brought out a LAW for OCCUPY to be moved.  So much so for disagreeing with sky-high bonuses being paid to bankers and city financiers.  It was amazing how quickly this law could have been brought thought but not a law against bonuses paid.

Now a report in Daily Mirror shows that again and still huge bonuses are being paid. In spite of bankruptcy, rigged libor, mis-selling PPI and scandals about money laundering by criminal cartels for which top banks were heavily find their debts are paid by taxpayers.  It is incredible to say the least and unacceptable that the Chief executives of these banks are paid at least £1million bonus after such scandal which cost the banks a fortune.

Again David Cameron and his government who practically owe these banks because of the taxpayers’ money invested do nothing and still does not stopped it. All you read about that the public and shareholders are putting pressure on these executives have so much decency to return the bonus.  Even if they are willing to drop the bonus there is still a regulation for a so called long-term bonus which again will be paid by taxpayers.

To summon it up These chief executives are receive around £1m salary, a bonus of  about £2 to £3million, a long-term bonus which surely must be also start at £1million and upwards plus huge dividends from shares given to them as part of their contract while most of their banks went bankrupt and held up by taxpayers’ money.  The economy being in a dreadful state and yet bankers and city boys take millions out without trying to improve the economy  and even fiddle the libor, mis-selling PPI, and money laundering  for criminal cartels.

If somebody cooks the book in a company they are instantly dismissed. These people were involved in huge criminal activities and do not get dismissed and if they due to public pressure they walk away with millions of pounds as a golden handshake plus super pension.

David Cameron imagined that he could achieve better regulation from Brussels even after Brussels already stated that there will no room for special wishes. Is Mr Cameron really so blind and deaf that he can’t hear the message. It stands to reason that if they give Britain special treatment then all the other countries will demand the same. Even if Germany and France agree to it, it still takes another 26 countries to do the same and that is not possible.

Why is David Cameron still talking about getting powers back from Brussels? Surely he must be more aware that it is impossible.

Barely a day or two past after the great speech was delivered Brussels threatens Britain with a £250,000 a day fine if they do not comply with the rules laid out by the EU regarding the gas and electricity. Britain had received these regulations in November 2011 but did not all implement them. The reason was that it would increase the prices of gas and electricity still further.  Now they have to face the dilemma either imply these rules or face that very heavy fine.  Brussels seems to show its teeth more and more.

Let’s face the facts. People are struggle more than enough to pay the gas and electricity bills any more and nobody can effort to use it but Brussels is not worried about that. They wouldn’t know what it means to pay bills.

Another absolute shocking revelation Brussels are plotting to restrict Press freedom.

The plan is that each European Union state introduces a media watchdog. They have to power to strip journalists of their licence and impose heavy fines.

It all comes from high above group dealing with media and freedom and pluralism and is organised by European Commission vice president Neelie Kroes.

First of all it will be a cutting down on Press Freedom which is highly praised by many countries which are political controlled. Secondly it will be another huge body to be paid for by the public.

It had also been stated that the EU hates free press and that is obvious when they now trying to control it. This will be another violation on the freedom of Britain after Law and Justice completely taken over and destroyed; free trade and industries suffocate under the burden of rules from Brussels and now the press Freedom.

How can anybody still belief in the EU and Brussels after reading for years about mismanagement, interference and constantly escalating high cost?

Britain surely has to come out now before Brussels complete destroys this country. An in/out referendum has to be done now and not after 2015 which most properly turns out to be another blatant lie like in the last Election Manifesto. David Cameron really thinks people are that naïve and backward for them still to belief in that.

It wouldn’t be surprising if he signs another new treaty on the quiet which would be for another seven years.
